There are 3 major functional areas that comprise the Veutility solution

1. The Utility Collector and Communications Interface

There are 3 major communication standards that operate in this environment:EthernetWireless - 802.14.5Wireless – Zigbee.
Veutility is agnostic of the communications standard and the installed hardware.

2.Veutility Portal
The Portal is the Hosted Service interface to the Customer and comprises 5 major components:

Vu-Dashboard

The Dashboard is the primary interface for the end Customer. It provides the ultimate Graphical User Interface (GUI) that presents the numerous views of consumption data; Graphs, Tables, Schematics etc. The Vu-Dashboard is a multi-pane GUI of interconnected views all of which can be configured by the User. The data can be represented in several different graph or tabular formats with a simple mouse click.

Vu-Wizard
The Vu-Wizard is a set-up Portal or Down-loadable Application that greatly speeds up the process of providing an initial configuration for the Vu-Dashboard. The Vu-Wizard is used by the Customer Facilities Management (FM) team, a Building Management or Energy Efficiency Consultant to rapidly gather topographic, electric layout and other information associated with a Company.

At Set-Up time the major energy consuming Assets are captured from a drop-down list in the tool. If they are not previously registered within Veutility, then Vu-Profiler will capture the unique Electrical signature and once processed, it will be stored in the Repository for future reference and use in verification.

Vu-Benchmark
Monitoring, managing and understanding the details of a Company’s Utility consumption are vital in an ever-greening and more cost conscious World. However, this is only provides half of the picture. One of the true values of Veutility is that it provides a Consumption Community Portal that gives subscribers a complete picture of their consumption and how it compares to other related companies or organisations.
